Best ways to use a swaddle blanket

Mies & Co Swaddles

Swaddling is a common practice that involves gently covering a baby in a light, permeable blanket to help them relax and sleep. Only their bodies should be wrapped, not their necks or heads. The idea is that swaddling your baby would make them feel safe and comfortable, similar to how they felt in the womb. Many parents and experts disagree with this idea.

However, swaddles are always useful and there are so many ways to be used other than swaddling!

Swaddles can be used as a burp cloth. The breathable, soft fabric keeps your little one comfortable when at dame time clothes are protected from spills and spit ups.

Tip: About halfway through feeding, position your baby on your shoulder, face-down on your lap or sitting up. Give her a gentle pat or rub on the left side of her back, which is where your little one’s stomach is located. This may get the burp up for most babies.
